Terms of Service for YourFlights

1. About YourFlights

YourFlights is a personal flight tracking application that allows you to:

• Log and manage your complete flight history with details such as airline, route, aircraft type, cabin class, seat, and notes
• Visualize your routes and travel history on an interactive 3D globe
• Generate in-depth travel statistics including distances flown, airports visited, aircraft types, and booking class breakdowns
• Import flights from third-party tools (YourFlights CSV and OpenFlights.org formats)
• Export your flight data for portability
• Scan boarding passes to quickly add new flights
• Create shareable flight videos
• Access your data offline when an internet connection is unavailable

The Service is available as a free tier (up to 10 flights) and an unlimited tier accessible via in-app purchase.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum digital age of consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Service. By using YourFlights, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. If you become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data through the Service, please contact us at support@yourflights.net.

3. Accounts and Registration

3.1 Guest Use

You may use the YourFlights app without creating an account. In this case, all data is stored locally on your device and is not backed up to the cloud.

3.2 Registered Accounts

If you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us promptly at support@yourflights.net if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting support@yourflights.net. Upon deletion, your cloud-stored data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Locally stored data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear it manually.

4. License to Use the Service

Subject to these Terms, Tobias Hann grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Access or use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service

5. Your Data and Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of the flight data and personal information you enter into YourFlights. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data.

5.2 License to Operate the Service

By storing data in the cloud via a registered account, you grant Tobias Hann a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete your data or account.

5.3 Data Portability

You can export your full flight history at any time in CSV format. We believe in keeping your travel history portable and in your control.

5.4 Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into YourFlights. The Service is a personal logbook tool and does not verify the accuracy of flight data entered by users.

5.5 Aggregate and Community Use

Per-flight visibility settings (public, followers-only, private) control who can see a flight as an individual entry on feeds and profiles. Independently of these settings, all logged flights contribute in anonymized, aggregated form to community features such as the global flight Globe and ranking and statistics views. These aggregate views display only route geometry and the flight year and never reveal your identity, flight number, notes, or exact flight date. Setting a flight to private removes it as an individual entry but does not exclude it from these anonymized aggregate calculations.

6. In-App Purchases and Premium Features

YourFlights offers a free tier that allows logging of up to 10 flights. To log unlimited flights, you may purchase a premium upgrade through the Apple App Store.

All in-app purchases are governed by Apple's App Store Terms of Service. Tobias Hann does not process payments directly and has no access to your payment information.

In-app purchases are generally non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. Please contact Apple directly for refund requests.

We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or discontinue premium features with reasonable notice, but we will not retroactively remove access you have already purchased.

7. Third-Party Services and Integrations

YourFlights may integrate with or rely on third-party services including:

• Apple App Store - for distribution and in-app purchases
• Google Firebase / Google Cloud - for cloud data storage and synchronization (registered accounts only)
• OpenFlights.org - for compatible CSV import/export formats

These third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. Tobias Hann is not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

The Service includes a built-in database of over 8,500 airports to facilitate flight logging. This database is provided for convenience and may not reflect the most current aviation data.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at www.yourflights.net/privacy. The Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data, and your rights under applicable law including GDPR.

Key privacy principles of YourFlights:

• If you use the app without an account, your data stays local on your device
• We do not sell your personal data
• We do not collect precise location data
• You can request deletion of your data at any time

9. Shareable Content

YourFlights allows you to create shareable flight videos and visual summaries of your travel history.

When you choose to share content generated by the Service:

• You do so voluntarily and at your own discretion
• You are responsible for any personal data (for example travel dates and routes) disclosed in shared content
• Tobias Hann is not responsible for how shared content is received, distributed, or used by third parties

10. Offline Use

YourFlights supports offline flight logging. Data entered while offline will be synced to the cloud when connectivity is restored (for registered accounts). Tobias Hann is not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, or sync errors in offline scenarios.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Tobias Hann does not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Any data stored in the Service will be free from loss or corruption
• The airport database or any other reference data in the Service is accurate, complete, or current

YourFlights is a personal logbook tool intended for informational and recreational use. It is not a certified aviation record-keeping system and should not be relied upon for any regulatory, legal, or professional aviation purposes.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TOBIAS HANN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Changes to the Service and These Terms

13.1 Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes that may affect your use of the Service.

13.2 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms on our website and update the effective date at the top. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Germany.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also benefit from any mandatory protective provisions of the law in your country of residence.
